Voluntary Certifications

Mitsubishi Electric Hydronics & IT Cooling Systems S.p.A. believes in certification as a tool of transparency and support of virtuous competition for the benefit of the customer. As a member of the Eurovent program "Certify all" the company certifies all its units.

Envisioning comfort and sustainability as a mission to be pursued in all the company choices, from product development to operations management, Climaveneta is certified ISO 14001.

This choice reflects a company strategy based on a business model focused on highest sustainability, extending from the traditional attention to energy efficiency and reduced environmental impact of the product, to the whole manufacturing process.

ISO 14001 means, above all, systematic implementation of explicit projects to reduce the environmental impact of the company globally.

Water consumption reduction: up to 90% of the water used in industrial processes is reused.

We are committed to reduce CO2 emissions and avoid the use of harmful components and materials for people and the environment.

Introduction of an advanced waste management, based on recycling and on the use of reusable packages, thus eliminating a major source of waste. Partnership with key suppliers to develop sustainable reusable packaging.

Attention to noise emissions has always been crucial, both as concerns the products, as well as the industrial process. Noise emissions are minimized and kept well below the levels set by the regulations, making our operations extremely sustainable also from this point of view.

energy efficiency

Energy efficiency has always been at the core of our product and environment policy. ISO 14001 certification is also implemented through plant and office building insulation, and through the recovery of heat generated by tests and the industrial process, in order to heat the buildings, thus dramatically reducing the energy consumption of the operations of the group.

change behaviour programmes

We promote sustainable behaviours among employees.

Occupational health, as defined by the World Health Organization (WHO), ‘’deals with all aspects of health and safety in the workplace and has a strong focus on primary prevention of hazards.’’
We believe that this multidisciplinary field should aim at: the promotion and maintenance of our employees physical, mental and social well-being; the improvement of our working environment; the development of a working culture which supports health and safety and in doing so also promotes a positive social climate and smooth operation that enhances productivity.
For Mitsubishi Electric Hydronics & IT Cooling Systems, Health and Safety in the workplace are core aspects our organizational culture proven by the Occupational Health and Safety Management ISO 45001 certification obtained in June 2020 and by the Behaviour Based Safety (BBS) method practiced throughout all our facilities.

ISO 45001 is a new dynamic and process-based certification that is aimed at eliminating the chance of any potential work-related disease and injury, in addition to promoting and protecting employee’s physical and mental health. It sets the minimum standard of practice to protect employees. It further minimizes hazards, compared to the previous OHSAS 18001 certification by not only focusing on solutions to hazards but also trying to understand why they happen.

The BBS method was developed in the late 1970s and it is distinguished for the effectiveness of the results and for the obtaining a more positive and productive work environment. The method is perfectly integrated with the ISO 45001 management system and is based on the principle that more than 80% of workplace injuries are caused by unsafe behaviors. Studying these behaviors and reinforcing correct ones with positive feedback can create a safer environment.

COVID-19 has forced us to scrutinize our work environment to make sure that all our employees are able to work safely and that their health is not put at risk during this global pandemic. Thanks to our determination and passion for what we do, we immediately enacted the necessary countermeasures to ensure our employees could continue working safely. In addition to providing employees with PPE equipment, maintaining proper social distance, and prohibiting all kinds of assemblies, we arranged serology tests for every single employee. Confirming that issues such as health and safety are a priority for everyone in MEHITS.
