Designed by Foster and Partners, the Willis building is London's fourth highest skyscraper and the headquarters of Willis Group, the world's third largest insurance broker.

In order to achieve its excellent environmental rating these two adjoining structures of 10 and 28 storeys required an air conditioning system designed for the most stringent requirements. The system, besides ensuring the highest energy efficiency, also ensures the lowest noise emissions, compact sizing of transformer and power supply, and the most favourable selection of protection devices between these devices and the unit.

Specifically the HVAC system was based on 7 compact TECS mini centrifugal air cooled chillers. They allow simplified logistics, unbeatable energy efficiency at part loads, the lowest inrush current and extremely quiet operation. Hydronic fan coils in the false ceilings ensure optimum comfort conditions with minimal aesthetic impact to the office interiors.
